Reviews and Ratings
I was delighted with the charming views of the canals from the room filled with warm light reflecting off the trees. The tiny size was a downside, and cleanliness could have been better, but the canal view was excellent.
The hotel was in a building just around the corner with a large, old-fashioned room overlooking a canal. Despite the tatty and hot environment that made sleeping difficult, the stained glass features added charm. The service was amazing and helpful, but the location, while ideal for sightseeing, had a strong odor issue near the toilet. The dining experience was superb with a varied and plentiful breakfast, but a bit expensive at 12.50 euros per person.
Staying at this hotel was a mixture of good and not-so-good experiences. The rooms were spacious and had an old grandeur feel, which was gorgeous, but there was a dark, cramped attic room that showed signs of damp and needed updating, not really suitable for a couple.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were fine and clean, and the staff, especially Dennis and Roldan, were kind. Its location was convenient, being walking distance to Dam Square and close to restaurants. However, the room above seemed noisy with young guests returning at 4.00 am on one night. The hotel is situated in an older building.
The hotel has some room for improvement but offers friendly service and a great location. The rooms are comfortable but need upgrading. The service is fabulous and the location is fantastic. The dining options are good, and the facilities are satisfactory.
I had a lovely stay at the hotel. The rooms, though old-fashioned, were basic yet charming, clean, and equipped with all the necessary utilities. The view of the Amstel river from the flowered windows was delightful. The service was exceptional and the location convenient for exploring the city. The dining experience was enjoyable, adding to the pleasure of my stay.
